ASME PCC-1-Based Interactive Training for Proper Flanged Joint Make-up
To better serve our customers and ensure proper use and function of our products, Lamons offers various training sessions with our engineering team. The Flange Assembly Demonstration Unit (FADU) is a live demonstration of a 4” 150-class flange with load-indicating fasteners and a compression sensor. Lamons offers bolt-up and gasket training with operating classroom equipment. This equipment demonstrates bolt stress and interaction, along with the relaxation in a flange connection.
Best Practices Bolt-Up Training
Our engineers will share best practices in bolting up flanges and proper gasket installation in accordance with ASME PCC-1. Using different gaskets, our engineers will illustrate:
- Scattered bolt load and cross talk
- Gasket relaxation using different gaskets
- Proper lubrication
- Use of washers
- Using torque, combination, or box wrenches
- Bolt/stud tensile/yield strength
- Legacy/cross pattern bolt-up
- Body positioning and proper arm movement
Training Sessions
Our list of training sessions includes the FADU, Gasket 101, Applications-Based Gasket Selection, and others upon request. Training sessions can also be customized to focus on the important aspects of flange bolt-up and/or a plant’s/facility’s established procedures.
